Found aboard some of the most prestigious yachts in the world, Ronstan’s Orbit Blocks™ are a no-compromise product range developed to meet the demands and expectations of the very dedicated and increasingly professional racing sailor. The fully machined aluminium alloy cheek plates leave material only where it contributes to the load carrying capacity of the block to maximise strength-to-weight ratio. The Orbit sheave has captive acetal or Torlon® ball bearings for side thrust loads, eliminating the need for side retainer plates. This further reduces weight and allows for a wider bearing surface that can accommodate longer Torlon®needles creating higher working loads and greater efficiency.
A newer addition to Ronstan’s keelboat range, the Soft Attachment Blocks come in three sizes and achieve the highest ratings for dynamic load vs sheave diameter in our keelboat block range. Rotating cheeks provide snatch block capabilities making these some of the most versatile blocks available today.
Ronstan ball bearing traveller systems deliver the high strength and low friction required for optimising sail trim and responding quickly to changing conditions. Car bodies are machined to precise specifications, then honed to an exceptional finish before being treated and anodised for maximum corrosion protection.
